Straight 8 - Brush

Brush is a short film by Simon Allen shot on Super 8 for the Straight 8 2022 Competition. The Straight 8 concept is to make a film with one cartridge, without editing and with an original soundtrack. Our film  won the Top 8 Prize.

Scuta Salamanca scored the soundtrack drawing on late 70s Euro Disco influences with some general timing cues as a brief. No-one (not even the director) was permitted to see the film before it’s first screening.  – as dictated by the competition rules.
